I still wonder where PJ's Yellow and black 1973 GP200 Lambretta ended up after it was stolen in Milwaukee in 2009, I had installed a duel disk front brake on it just before the Cannonball 2006. I'm sure it was torn down and parted out by now.

He put a new carb on it just before he left and it was not dialed in, He ran lean and did have problems. That brake setup was close to a grand and would have been very easy to spot out, Such a bummer, I miss working on that scooter.

You would think the community is small enough (in conjunction with the internet) to spot these stolen scoots.

Save for some crooks hoarding the goods in their garage until the heat goes away then parts them out like you said.

Or some crazy black market to ship scoots over seas? the cost I would think would be counter profit though.

Or thugs who ride them until they run out of gas or are wrecked, then they are abandoned and the city picks them up, hauls them to a lot, and they're forgotten.
