95 at 4:46pm....oops wait a minute, it just dropped to 94. No A/C because I don't want "that ugly thing sticking out my old windows".......I think I'll have to re-think this.

I could go down to Mom's but I don't know if it's just me or her air conditioning unit, but it runs then shuts off. While I'm waiting for it to come back on, I'm sweating bullets. I would prefer a refrigerator-like atmosphere all the time. Do you have central air, John? Why do I think I've had this conversation before, like last year.

Awhile ago, I jumped in the car and cranked the air conditioner up and drove to Subway just to cool off. What's the big fuss over Subway subs? Nothing special if you ask me. I think that was only the third one I've ever eaten. Anyway, got a little relief for a short time.

My home was built in 2005, in Texas, of course I have central AC.

It's been stuck between 70 and 80 here for the past few months. My house doesn't even have A/C.

Hi Christine,
Thats an ajustment on your Thermostat. It's called cycle rate. Its the number of times your Air Conditioner comes on per hour. It's very possilbe that you need to make an ajustment. Normal for cooling is about 6 times per hour. Other things you can do is plant trees to shade the windows, add insulation in your attic, use shade screens on the windows, if you gots no money use aluminum foil.
The quick way to tell if your AC is working good is to measure the supply and return air. You should have about a 20 deg. difference. If its closer to 10 deg. you have serious issues that need to be fixes.
Thats my AC rant for the day...
