 Those Vespa horn eyelets
So, what IS the solution for re-assembling a Vespa horn? The chrome front is held to the main body of the horn with six eyelets (or some folks call them hollow rivets). I see new chrome front cover things for rebuilding your horn sold all over the place, but no eyelets. I did the rounds of the hardware stores/home centers/craft stores and found nothing but MUCH larger eyelets used in leather crafts. But, no way they would work for the horn. Does anyone sell the CORRECT eyelets?

You should be able to find smaller grommets at your local craft store. Don't look in the leather section, though--check in the scrapbooking and paper crafts aisle.

Hi Tedford,
Yeah, I checked there and found eyelets, but they were still a bit too big (diameter) and short (length). I'll keep looking. Thanks for the suggestion!

 Re: Those Vespa horn eyelets
What diameter and length do they need to be? http://www.mcmaster.com/#two-piece-grommets

 Re: Those Vespa horn eyelets
The McMaster ones are too big. The internal diameter is really tiny, about 4.2 mm (.167"). I think the the smallest McMaster ones have an ID of 3/16" (01875"). I sent a mail to Allstyles - they have lots of detail bits. I'll let you know what they say.
